“I enjoy tonal impressionist oil painting, the study of light, in the tradition of early Australian artists, particularly those influenced by Max Meldrum.
I have been painting seriously since the mid 1990s and paint all genres.
My aim in painting is to keep the artwork simple and 'painterly', that is, portraying the image before me with as few brushstrokes as needed to create an image that pleases me.
I have no axes to grind nor stories to tell but paint what inspires me and what I see before me.”
