Alison McIntosh: 2021 "Best in Show" & 2019 "1st Prize Oils"

I grew up in South West Victoria and spent much of my early years on Farms, riding through my beloved otway ranged and by the coast. During this time I developed a strong connection with animals and environment.

I always had a deep love for art and during my teenage years travelled with my family to Europe.”

Alison McIntosh

Alison commenced her Fine Art Studies at RMIT in 1977 and went on to complete a Dip Ed at Melbourne University. During these years she continued to work on drawings, some of these were developed into prints working through the AUstralian Print Workshop.

Alison has a long career in teaching secondary school art, design and textiles in Melbourne and the Western District, as well as facilitating workshops in these Disciplines.

Alison now works full time in her studio. Her work is often figurative with evidence of her strong commitment to the environment, working in a variety of media that includes printmaking, painting and three-dimensional textile work.
