“This work is in mixed media. One of a series which were inspired by my early childhood memories of my family, and of the music which was such a big part of the history and love of my Mum and Dad. The actual music which forms part of the support belonged to my father and dates back to their courting days.
So special are the memories of stories remembered .”

ABOUT Carol Hirst
Carol’s art deals mainly with landscape/seascape, impressionistic and floral works, commissioned pet portraits and contemporary studies.
More recent works have been inspired by early childhood memories of family and music.
Carol’s works have been regularly shown in various exhibitions in the Geelong region and throughout Victoria since 1975.
