Denise Krajnc’s curiosity with drawing and painting started at a young age while growing up in Geelong, Australia.
Predominantly self taught, Denise studied further in oils under renowned artist Charles Moodie in her late teens for 4 years.
Later in her career the pastel medium was explored, bringing to life the wildlife she endeavoured to create with a softness coupled with the precision that is quite the trademark of so many of her pieces.
She produced large acrylics of landscapes, portraits and is currently exploring surreal works that challenge and enhance her skills and imagination further.
She subscribes to wildlife photographers for some of her subject matter and also has quite a library of images taken by herself throughout her travels .
Denise has exhibited at numerous art shows throughout Victoria over the last 20 odd years winning several Best in Show, numerous Best Pastel and Fauna awards, an invited guest artist at shows and many highly commended awards along the way.
Emotion is the driving force, the subject and flow of her repertoire unfolding intuitively, captivating her audience through subtle nuances of colour, mood and expression.
Denise always paints from the heart which she hopes conveys in everything she creates.
